At SITA Sàrl (“SITA,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), our mission is to help women, teens, and families improve brain wellness, resilience, and daily life. We build ReConnect to empower your life, not to invade it. Protecting your privacy is central to our values.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you use:

  • The ReConnect Neuro-Cap wearable

  • The ReConnect mobile app (iOS and Android)

  • Our websites, content, and features (together, the “Services”).

This policy applies to all users of our Services. It does not apply to third parties we don’t control.

 

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of Personal Data (“information that identifies you or can be linked to you”):

  • Contact details: first and last name, email address.

  • Account data: password, profile preferences, parent/guardian details for teen accounts.

  • Communications: messages you send us for support, feedback, or surveys.

  • Optional usage data: session duration, focus/tension scores, progress history, app interactions.

  • Payment data: if you purchase directly from us, payment card details are collected by third-party processors (we don’t store your full payment number).

  • Device data: device type, operating system, crash/error logs, approximate location (city/state).

We do not collect Social Security numbers, government IDs, or sensitive financial records.

 

2. How We Collect Personal Data

We collect information in three ways:

  • Directly from you: when you create an account, enter your name/email, respond to surveys, or contact support.

  • Automatically: through app/device use (e.g., session metrics, error reports, cookies).

  • With consent from parents/guardians: when setting up a teen account.

 

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and personalize your ReConnect experience.

  • Track your training progress and display insights.

  • Communicate updates, support responses, and service messages.

  • Improve our product, features, and user experience.

  • Send optional marketing emails (only with your consent).

  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

 

4. How We Share Personal Data

We never sell your data. We may share it only with:

  • Service providers: secure cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support partners.

  • Legal authorities: if required by law, court order, or regulatory request.

  • Business transferees: if SITA undergoes a merger, acquisition, or reorganization.

 

5. Cookies & Tracking

Our websites and apps use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in,

  • Remember your preferences,

  • Analyze app performance,

  • Support limited marketing/ads (opt-out available).

You can manage cookies in your browser or mobile settings.

 

6. Data Security & Retention

  • Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

  • Access is restricted to trained, authorized staff.

  • We retain data only as long as needed to provide Services or comply with law.

  • You may request deletion of your account and data anytime (see Section 9).

 

7. Teens

  • ReConnect is designed for users aged 16+.

  • For users under 16, parental consent is required. Parents/guardians may access, correct, or delete their teen’s account at any time.

  • We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

 

8. U.S. State Privacy Rights

If you live in certain U.S. states (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, and others with privacy laws), you may have additional rights:

  • Access: request a copy of your data.

  • Deletion: request we delete your data.

  • Correction: ask us to fix inaccurate information.

  • Opt-out: limit use of data for marketing/ads.

9. Your Choices

You can:

  • Access, edit, or delete account data in the app or by emailing us.

  • Opt out of marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe.”

  • Control cookies and app permissions in your device settings.

 

10. International Transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in Switzerland, the EU, or the U.S. We use legal safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) when transferring data internationally.

 

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services evolve. We’ll post changes here with a revised effective date and notify you if material changes are made.
